Happy New Year!

In a few hours 2018 will be gone (and good riddance) and we will be starting 2019.  I wish everyone around the world a Happy and Prosperous New Year filled with tranquility, peace, equality, prosperity, health,  and justice for all.

To all of my dear readers I wish for you a New Year where dreams come true and blessings abound in your lives.

May the Goddess protect all of us, the planet, and all the animals.  May truth shine bright as the sun, and evil doers and those who sow seeds of hate and wickedness now sip of the cup of despair they have passed to others.

May joy and goodwill abound in overflowing amounts.

Happy New Year!

The Garden Crone and friends celebrate Solstice with the Fae. A short story by The Garden Crone.

Today is Winter Solstice! The God will be reborn at 5:23 pm est and celebrations are afoot. In the spirit of the season I have written a short story where I, some of my cousins, and some friends are invited to celebrate Winter Solstice with the Fae at a Solstice Ball that will take place at Craig Y Nos Castle in Wales. For those of you not familiar with Craig Y Nos Castle I suggest you look it up on google. It is a magical place and an appropriate setting for our story. I hope you enjoy the story and ask you to overlook any editing mistakes. My dear friend Linda who does the editing for my books was not consulted as the story was a surprise, and I am prone to making mistakes when I get involved in the story and don't pay quite enough close attention to details.  So off we go!

Once upon a time there was a Witch named Crone who had a magical broom named George, a German shepherd named Storm Walker and a cat named Mem, and a magical crystal ball that she used to talk to her friends all over the world. She and her friends had lots of adventures as they would help each other to celebrate or in times of troubles (because that is what friends do for each other), or help take care of problems that faced the world.

One day Crone was talking to her friends on her crystal ball when her friends Elaine and Elizabeth P both got on at the same time and began to talk excitedly. “Crone, Pegysue just brought me a message from..” Elizabeth started to say, just as Elaine began to speak “Crone the Queen of the Fae….. Both ladies began to laugh and Elizabeth P told Elaine to go ahead and go first.

“Queen Mab just sent me a message telling me that all of us are invited to the Fae Solstice Ball which will be held this year in Wales at Craig Y Nos Castle!! They will even provide transportation. They will be sending magical carriages after us! Go ahead Elizabeth P.

Elizabeth P laughed “I wanted to tell you that I received a message from Queen Mab inviting me to the Solstice Ball in Wales.”

All the ladies begin to talk excitedly. “A ball”, “Invited by Queen Mab”, “What shall I wear?” “I am so excited”.

Crone said, “Well we have a few days to get our dresses ready”.

“Oh, and we are to bring our pets also.” Elaine broke in, “I was so excited I forgot to mention that.”

So all the ladies were excited because for the first time in over 800 years, humans were invited to a Fae Ball. The Ball would be on Friday, Dec. 21st in Wales. The Fae would send the carriages to pick everyone up at 8 P.M. est. and transport them and their pets to Wales for the Ball which would begin at 9 sharp.

For the next few days they hurried and scurried to get themselves and their pets ready for the Ball.

Friday finally arrived and at 8 P.M. Elizabeth P. was ready for the ball. She looked out the window to see her miniature Pegasus, Pegysue, suddenly grow to normal size just as the air began to shimmer and a beautiful white carriage appeared complete with driver and Footman. The Footman gave a sharp knock at her door and when she opened it, he stated “I have come to escort you to the Ball.” Elizabeth allowed him to her escort her to the carriage where he gently helped her into the carriage and closed the door. Elizabeth heard the Driver tell Pegysue “Craig Y Nos Castle please”. With a gentle swoosh, they were airborne and off to Wales.

Each lady heard a rap at her door and when she opened it, a Footman would tell them they were there to escort them to the Ball. They each had a beautiful carriage complete with a Pegasus and Driver. The Footman would escort each lady and their pets to the carriage and help them inside and off they would go through the air. Through the moonlit sky they would fly, past twinkling stars and fluffy clouds to arrive in Wales.

The sky above Craig Y Nos Castle was filled with the wondrous sight of beautiful carriages drawn by Pegasi. Slowly the carriages began their descent. As each carriage landed, the Footman would help each lady and her pet out of the carriage and escort them to the receiving area of the courtyard. Soon it was filled with an array of ladies in beautiful gowns, and a variety of pets. As they waited the moonlight glistened off of the snow that was slowly floating to the ground. A light blanket of snow lay gleaming on the grass where it seemed to shimmer.

There was plenty of chatter by the ladies. “Oh I love your gown”, “Your cat is so sweet”, “What beautiful earrings” and so on. All of the pets were not only decked out, but were also on their very best behavior. As the Stewart arrived the air began to shimmer and soon standing next to each lady was a handsome Fae in Court finery. “Ladies, your escort for the evening is a member of the Queen’s own retinue who will watch over you and give you any aid you may acquire this evening” the Stewart informed them. “We shall now make our entrance”

As the Ladies and their escorts all stood there, the assembled Fae all rose and applauded. Then the Queen spoke again, “This is the first time in over 800 years that we have invited humans to our celebration. This era is a curious mix of acceptance and kindness, but there is also danger to the very planet and its various life forms. We hope by once more opening the lines of communication between humans and Fae once more, that we may bypass this time of danger and bring things back into balance. Many of you had ancestors that were once close with we Fae, and we hope to renew that friendship with you. Many of you were invited because we see that you are concerned and we hope to cultivate your friendship and open-mindedness towards others in this quest to help rebalance the scales.

Please feel free to help yourself to refreshments as the food is human. In order to protect all we have moved our celebration to the human world and provide human refreshments. You are all safe here and your companions are welcome also. They too will be provided refreshments and they will be free to explore the area safely as we have set wards and guardians to watch over them also. “ At this point several Fae came to collect all the companions who willingly went with them. “As a sign of our desire to renew ties we have several gifts for you. You will each find a piece of jewelry created by our artisans specifically for you. We hope that you will be pleased with them. Whenever you wear them you will have the protection of the Fae. The second gift is knowledge of all the dances that we will be performing tonight. You will now be able to dance freely without fear of mistakes. And later in the evening before the end of the Ball and celebration we will have a surprise for you. Please enjoy yourselves. Let this celebration begin.”

Fae waiters appeared to escort each Lady and her escort to their table. The Ladies all were in awe at the lovely decorations appearing around the dining area and the tables were decorated beautifully. As they looked around the room soft music began to play from an orchestra at the front of the room, and they could see that refreshment tables lined the wall of the area set aside for dancing.

As Jennifer and her escort were seated, she found next to her name card a lovely wrist corsage and a brooch in the shape of a dragon. It was made of silver and set with rubies, red zircons and an emerald for the eyes. “Oh my gosh, look at this lovely brooch!” exclaimed Jennifer as she picked it up and studied it. “There are even star rubies on it!” The ladies who were seated with her ooohed and ahhhed as they checked out their own corsage and jewelry. All were made of silver and set with gems. Some were in the shape of butterflies, cats, and horses. Some were brooches and some were pendants. Everyone was quite pleased.

At Elizabeth P’s table Elizabeth had a Pegasus necklace of white diamonds and topaz, and Elaine had a dragon of rubies and sapphires and black tourmaline. Elouise had one of a cat that looked exactly like her Pookie. The waiters began to serve dinner. There were rolls and salad, steak and lobster, fish and soups and vegetables and main dishes of all kinds. There was wine and sparkling clear water for those who wished for it. When dessert came there were a myriad of options to choose from.

As Crone laid down her napkin she exclaimed “I cannot eat another bite of food! It is a good thing I bespelled everyone’s gowns so that they would be comfortable and make us look our best! Because I think I would be very uncomfortable otherwise!” Her cousins and friends laughed and teased her because she had eaten 3 chocolate éclairs! “3 chocolate éclairs will do that,” laughed Linda. “3? Are you sure it was only 3?” asked Danielle. “Doesn’t matter a bit,” replied Cat. At the same time Bonnie and Sarah Marie both said “But they are so good.”

As soon as the Waiters cleared the tables the dancing began. And all the ladies were happy for the gift of knowledge that Queen Mab had given them as they now knew how to do all the dances including the Bassedanse, Volta, Minuet, and Allemande. The ladies were twirled around the room on the arms of their escorts. As Elizabeth L and her escort headed to the refreshment tables for a break she stopped to talk to Sarah. “Isn’t this wonderful?” asked Elizabeth L. “It is. And I am enjoying it.” Replied Sarah.

The pet companions were having fun also. They had been served a variety of foods and were all happy. They were exploring the gardens and parks of the castle.

At midnight the pets were returned to their owners and the orchestra quit playing. The Queen rose and said “As you know the lord was reborn at 5:23 PM.” Suddenly the air shimmered and a throne appeared with a beautiful woman holding a newborn wrapped in a beautiful blanket. Standing on the right side of her was a beautiful young woman and on her left a stately elderly woman. Everyone exclaimed in joy. “Oh my goddess!” Exclaimed Crone, “it’s the Maiden, Mother and Crone with the newborn Lord.”

The Crone stepped forward “You may come forward and pay your respects if you so wish.” Soon there was a line of Fae and humans moving forward to pay their respects to the Goddesses and the newborn God.” As Naomi stopped in front of the Mother to curtsey the newborn God open his eyes and looked at her and smiled. The Mother smiled at Naomi also. After paying her respects to the God and to the Crone she rushed to Karen and Janice and exclaimed “He smiled at me! His eyes twinkled like the stars!”

As soon as everyone had paid their respects the three Goddesses and the newborn God disappeared. Everyone was talking and exclaiming. “Even the companions got to pay their respects!” “Did you see him smile at me?” “Isn’t this wonderful!” Queen Mab stood and said “I would like to thank you all for joining us tonight in the celebration of Solstice. I hope that we may renew ties with those whose ancestors were allies of us and we hope to forge ties with the rest of you. Your escorts will now take you and your companions to your carriages and return you to your home.”

As the Fae escorts took the ladies and their companions to the courtyard to the carriages the ladies began to chatter. “Such a wonderful time” “I so enjoyed myself” “Did you have fun Shield?” Each lady and her companion were handed gently into the carriage and the footman shut the door and seated himself and soon the carriage would arise into the air to return her to her home.

The End.

Regardless of your spiritual path or religious beliefs this time of year is a magical time. It is a time of hope and good cheer, of rebirth and renewal. All paths and all religions celebrate this time of year in a variety of holidays. I, the Garden Crone, wish you a Merry Yule, Happy Solstice and Seasons Greetings. May we all extend cheer and goodwill to all.

Spell time!! Time to end this mess.

As you all know the last 2 years have been a mess for the entire world.  Dictators, manipulators, control freaks and the list could go on, of hateful, evil people hell bent on destroying not only MY Nation, but the rest of the World.

We have done group spells, and we are seeing results.  So here we go folks, time to do the push and end this nonsense.  The Spell will be done on Dec.  17th, 2018.  At whatever time is good for you.

It will take 5 minutes of your time.   You will need 1 white candle.  You will light the candle, and say:

The wheel has spun
The time has come
for chickens to come home to roost.
Time to reap what you have sowed.
Let the guilty pay
Let justice call
for all, be it  high or low
and those who thought
that they were above the law.
Lady Justice her blindfold
has removed, the scales will now list
to justice and retribution.
Those who have lied, cheated, pillaged,
and raped will now fall.
The shoe has dropped, the light now shines
upon all of these hidden crimes.
Treason and traitors, criminals all
now the time has come for you all
to fall, because Karma now has
come to call.
Let the world be saved, and Democracy
survive, the end has come to those who
have tried to end the light of love and
truth and equality.
And so it is, and so mote it be.

Let the candle burn out.

Happy Holidays!!

And be warned the spirit of Yule and Solstice is starting to kick in with me!  I am starting to sing Pagan Carols, visions of stories for Yule is going through my head and I am itching to start decorating my Yule tree!!

Winter Solstice this year is friday the 21st!!   Spells are going through my head also.  I am feeling hopeful and I know that very soon, (like tomorrow) I am going to kick off on a cleaning spree.  I am going to then go on a goodie making spree, followed up by decorating.

I have news for hubby, this year the tree is gonna sparkle, shine and be glitzy!  As I told you last year hubby thinks some lights, a tree topper and 12 decorations is just perfect on the tree.  Last year I used restraint and stuck to like 40, which still led to his cries of "its guady!".  Well he better hold on to something cause this year it is really going to be guady!  I have cardinals, doves and even 2 swans to put on the tree.  I have sparkles, glittz and shiny things in red and gold!  There is no doubt in my mind that he will swoon from the shock of it all, so I better go find some smelling salts!!

This time of year there are so many holidays, I am just going to wish all of you a wonderful and happy Holiday season regardless of your spiritual path or religious affiliation!!

I also need to make Storm some puppy treats, and some for the cats.  (Cause here comes Santa Puppy right down Santa Puppy lane, with Mem and Storm leading the way.  Bit is prancing and dancing!)  Told ya I had it bad!

I even feel a bit of craft making coming on.  I think I need to make a new broom!

So have a fantastic holiday season!!
